Luke Grima – 1st Senior game

Luke Grima played his first Senior game for the Devils last Saturday Vs Mitcham. We thought you should see the photos.

Luke first played U9’s for the Junior Devils & progressed and developed to join our U19’s 2 years ago. He was awarded best finals player in 2016 in the U19’s campaign.

This season he did a lot of the pre-season with the Senior squad, and played practice games in both U19’s & Senior games.

His form this season in the U19’s had him leading the comp goal kicking and playing great footy.

His selection in the senior team was not gifted, in fact Luke’s form meant he deserved a crack at it. He wanted it, & he got his chance.

Luke was involved in the game all day, and laid strong tackles and worked for his team mates, but when he got the chance, he booted 3 goals and was an important contributor to the win.

So well done Luke Grima on being in the best players, kicking 3 goals, involved in others, and going hard when it was your turn. All on debut!

We look forward to more of our young players stepping up to Senior level like Luke.
